The milk can come from cows\, buffalo\, goats\, or sheep. Temperature and aging affect the flavor and texture of the cheese\, as well as spices and other seasonings added during the process. \n\n\n\nExcellent as a snack on its own\, cheese is also a perfect ingredient in pasta\, soups\, souffle\, and many other recipes. We slap it on a sandwich cold\, but why stop there when it can be grilled and melted like this amazing Swiss and Tomato Grilled Cheese recipe.  When company comes to visit\, nothing is better than a cheeseball\, especially when bacon is added. \n\n\n\nCheese is multinational\, too! Every nation in the world has its own variety of cheese. Italy seems to have harnessed the market. They did add it to pizza\, and that’s pretty amazing.  Savor the opportunity if you ever have the chance to taste cheeses from around the world. For example\, hop on over to Greece. They have this dessert called cheesecake. The purpose of this day is to raise awareness about the environment and how to protect our planet.  \n\n\n\nOn this day\, people are encouraged to do something beneficial for the Earth. They can do it alone or with friends\, the important thing is to take action to make our planet a better place.  \n\n\n\nWorld Environment Day is not a public holiday so businesses and shops will remain open.  \n\n\n\nCommemorate World Environment Day- Environment-friendly Practices \n\n\n\nProper Disposal and Recycling\n\n\n\nRecycling is the easiest way you can help in helping the environment. It is something that most households and people around the world already do. Recycling is as simple as separating normal trash\, plastic\, paper\, and glass and putting them in their specific bins. However\, doing this at home is not enough. \n\n\n\nWe need to be careful while we are outside as well and make sure that we are disposing of the trash in proper places instead of scattering it on roads or public spaces.  \n\n\n\nPlant Trees\n\n\n\nOne activity you can organize with friends and family is planting trees in your backyards. Not only do trees absorb and filter pollutant gases\, but homes with trees in their gardens cut air conditioning needs by 50%. This\, in turn\, helps to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.  \n\n\n\nConserve Water\n\n\n\nWater is a very important resource that forms an integral part of the growing needs of the population. There are multiple ways in which you can conserve water. For instance\, you can take short showers\, close the tap while brushing\, steam vegetables instead of boiling (this is because boiling vegetables leads to loss of nutrients while steaming helps preserve them)\, and collect rainwater which you can later use to water plants\, and so on. \n\n\n\nUse Plastic Alternatives\n\n\n\nPlastics have a negative impact on the environment when disposed of improperly. It clogs drains\, pollutes water bodies\, harms aquatic animals\, releases toxic chemicals on burning\, and so on. However\, many eco-friendly alternatives have emerged lately such as Bioplastic. Although they are similar to plastics in utility\, they are biodegradable products which means that they will naturally break down and decompose thus minimizing pollution. \n\n\n\nInform and Educate Others\n\n\n\nFinally\, make sure to educate other people so that they become aware of the environmental issues and ways to tackle them. This will allow them to reflect on their daily lifestyle habits and make changes accordingly. On World Environment Day\, let us work together as a community to make the earth a better place to live.

SUMMARY:National Gardening Exercise Day - Gardening as a Coping Skill
DESCRIPTION:June 6 is National Gardening Exercise Day on the National Day Calendar to encourages us to maximize the health benefits of gardening. Today we are encouraging people to get off the couch and tend their gardens\, while getting some fresh air and sunshine.\n\n\n\n#GardeningExerciseDay\n\n\n\nGardening on its own is therapeutic\, builds muscles and burns calories. Some of the gardening activities that are excellent for working your muscles and for burning calories include weeding\, digging\, spading\, planting\, pruning\, mowing\, raking\, and walking. Gardening is a natural way to exercise. It involves a lot of walking back and forth\, as well as bending and stretching. Being out in the fresh air and sunshine are also an added benefit. Sunlight is a natural form of Vitamin D is essential for absorbing and retaining adequate amounts of calcium and phosphorous\, which are good for the bones. It also boosts our immune system.\n\n\n\nSpending time outside is a great way to get some fresh air\, too. Since fresh air is rich in oxygen\, you will be increasing the amount of oxygen circulating in your blood. Fresh air will clean your lungs\, strengthen your immune system\, aid in digestion\, and increase your energy. Spending time outdoors helps you sleep better and makes you feel happy! \n\n\n\nBeing out in the fresh air and sunshine also adds additional benefits. Incorporating stretching into a gardening routine may help to prevent injury\, much like it does for any athletic endeavor. Adding squats contributes to building and maintaining muscle\, In fact\, taking extra steps while gardening increases the heart rate. Gardening and exercise are excellent stress relievers\, too! \n\n\n\n6 WAYS TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL GARDEN EXCERCISE DAY \n\n\n\nPull those weeds\, plant some seeds\, and get your muscles moving! Your garden will look great\, and you will feel fantastic\, too! Other suggestions to get the most exercise out of your gardening: \n\n\n\n\nStart slowly. Just like any new workout program\, small steps.\n\n\n\nUse the right and left hands equally.  When raking or shoveling\, switch hands every 5-10 minutes to give each side a good workout.\n\n\n\nMake sure to breathe. Deep\, cleansing breaths bring oxygen to those working muscles.\n\n\n\nLift with your legs! When lifting\, bend your knees. Don’t lift with your back.\n\n\n\nDrink plenty of water.\n\n\n\nEnjoy your garden. Visit it often!\n\n\n\nIf you have never had your own garden\, this is a great day to start gardening. You can even ask a friend or another experienced gardener to help you get started. If there is a community garden in your area\, you may want to consider joining. There are also some excellent gardening books out there\, such as\, “The Farmer’s Almanac Vegetable Gardening Handbook\,” or “Gardening for the Complete Beginner.” Gardening is also a great family activity and will provide ample opportunities for spending quality time with the kids.\n\n\n\nGardening is a favorite hobby for several National Day Calendar staff.
